Shortly after the controversial video surfaced, Drake, whose full name is Aubrey Drake Graham, shared a photo on his Instagram stories that, at first glance, appeared unconnected to the ongoing controversy. The image, taken inside his private jet, was captioned: “Cashville I’m home,” which some interpreted as a subtle nod to the recent uproar.
Drake’s representatives have declined to comment on the matter when approached by The Independent for a statement regarding the allegations.
As the week progressed, Drake teased his fans with cryptic messages, hinting at revealing the “truth” about his show before making a significant announcement.
Drake, renowned for his hit “Hotline Bling,” stands as one of the world’s top-selling music artists, with over 170 million records sold.
This incident follows closely on the heels of a scandal involving explicit AI-generated images of Taylor Swift. These deepfake images, depicting the pop star in compromising situations, appeared on “Twitter” and garnered over 27 million views and 260,000 likes within 19 hours before the account responsible was suspended. The social media platform quickly blocked searches related to Swift’s name in connection with these images.
Jo Bonarroch, the chief business officer of the platform, informed The Wall Street Journal that the suspension was a “temporary measure” and described the swift action as a “precautionary measure.” The platform emphasized that such content is “strictly prohibited” and enforced a “zero-tolerance policy” towards it.
While not mentioning Swift specifically, the company stated: “Our teams are actively removing all tagged images and taking appropriate action against accounts responsible for posting them to ensure the issue is resolved promptly and to maintain a safe and respectful environment for all users.”
