iPhone 12 Pro Max Latest Customs Value in Pakistan

Users appreciate Apple iPhones for their robust design, user-friendly interface, and the extensive range of services available through the App Store.

The iPhone 12 series, launched in 2020, introduced notable hardware and camera enhancements. It supports 5G technology, offering faster connectivity and broader coverage. Powered by the A14 Bionic chip, these devices provide superior performance and efficiency, featuring OLED displays and Ceramic Shield for added durability.

In Pakistan, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a significant market, often imported as used devices by traders. These phones are typically sourced from auctions or second-hand markets abroad, arriving without packaging or accessories.

Earlier this year, the Directorate of Customs Valuation in Karachi reassessed the customs valuation for old and used mobile phones, including the iPhone 12 Pro Max. This reevaluation was in response to importers’ demands, who noted that these devices are purchased second-hand and lack original packaging or accessories.

After consulting with stakeholders and conducting market surveys, the directorate issued Valuation Ruling Number 1858/2024. This ruling established a revised customs valuation of $425 per unit for old and used mobile phones like the iPhone 12 Pro Max, excluding packaging and accessories. Consequently, duty and taxes will now be calculated based on this updated valuation.
