The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has introduced the “One Million Prompters” initiative, targeting the training of one million individuals in prompt engineering over the next three years.
During the announcement, he stated, “With this global initiative, overseen by the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), we aim to prepare, develop, and empower individuals with the skills necessary to leverage AI applications for innovation, progress, and economic growth.”
He emphasized the rapid technological advancements necessitating new skills in the labor market, noting, “While coding was previously in demand, prompt engineering has now emerged as one of the most promising skills.”
The programme will feature training courses, certification opportunities, competitions, and interactions with industry experts.
This initiative aligns with Dubai’s Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence, designed to expedite the integration of AI into everyday life.
Earlier this month, Sheikh Hamdan also approved the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy 2033, aimed at enhancing the daily lives of its citizens. The strategy includes extending beach cycling tracks, creating new beach areas for women, developing over 30 new parks, and planting more than 3,000 trees and plants, among other initiatives.
