Unveiling Deception Bangladeshi Politician's Murder Tied to 'Honey Trap' Scheme

In a shocking turn of events, Anwar-ul-Azeem Anar, a member of parliament from Bangladesh’s ruling party, has been confirmed as the victim of a ‘honey trap’ that led to his brutal murder in Kolkata, India. The chilling details of the case have sent shockwaves through both countries.

Anwar-ul-Azeem Anar had traveled to Kolkata on May 12 for medical treatment and was staying with his friend Gopal Biswas. On May 14, he was last seen in New Town, a suburban area of the Bengal capital. Shortly thereafter, he was murdered.

In a grisly effort to conceal the crime, his skin was removed, and his dismembered body parts were stuffed into plastic bags and scattered across the city.

Indian media reports indicate that the investigation has made significant progress with the arrest of Jihad Havaldar, an illegal Bangladeshi immigrant. Havaldar has confessed to killing Anar and dismembering his body. His confession has shed light on the involvement of multiple individuals in the crime.

A key figure in the investigation is Shalasti Rahman, who was instrumental in luring Anwar-ul-Azeem Anar into the honey trap. CCTV footage from the apartment shows Anar entering a room with a woman, believed to be Shalasti, who collaborated with the killers.

Further investigations revealed that Jihad Havaldar identified four Bengali citizens involved in the murder. Among them is Akhtar Ulzaman, an American citizen of Bangladeshi origin, who allegedly financed the murder with a payment of Rs 50 million. The apartment where Anar was killed was rented by a friend of Akhtar-ul-Zaman, linking him directly to the crime scene.

Authorities in both Dhaka and Kolkata are working tirelessly to piece together the full motive and uncover all individuals involved. This high-profile case highlights the darker aspects of political intrigue and the lengths to which some will go to silence their opponents.

The gruesome murder of Anwar-ul-Azeem Anar has not only raised serious security concerns but also cast a spotlight on cross-border criminal activities. As the investigation continues, both countries are calling for justice and a thorough examination of the circumstances leading to this tragic event.
