Vivo X200 Series Tipped with SoC Details; Could Be First with Dimensity 9400

We can all agree on one thing: the Vivo X series stands shoulder to shoulder with camera phones from Samsung and Google Pixel. These phones are known for their flagship-quality features, and the new Vivo X100 series has raised the bar even higher with its exceptional camera and internal specifications. If we consider the leaks and historical trends, it seems the Vivo X200 lineup is set to follow the same path.

Rumors on Weibo suggest that the X200 family might be the first to feature the Dimensity 9400 chipset. MediaTek’s collaboration with Vivo for their flagship phones is a key part of their success. The Vivo X100 series was powered by the Dimensity 9300, so it would make sense for the X200 series to upgrade to the Dimensity 9400.

The competition between Qualcomm and MediaTek is always intense, and we can expect to see Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 and Dimensity 9400 competing closely. MediaTek CEO Cai Lixing hinted at TSMC’s advanced 3nm (N3E) node being used for this new flagship SoC, promising performance and efficiency improvements.

This upgrade could also enhance Vivo’s AI capabilities, potentially helping them catch up to Snapdragon. However, it’s important to note that these details are still based on leaks, and until Vivo makes an official announcement, it’s best to take this information with a grain of salt.

According to the leak from SmartPikachu, the X200 series is expected to maintain its focus on flagship features. This includes Periscope Zoom cameras and possibly larger fast-charging batteries. While the inclusion of the Dimensity 9400 in the Vivo X200 series seems likely, we’ll have to wait for confirmation from the company.
