WhatsApp’s Latest Feature Allows Sharing of 1-Minute Long Voice Status Updates

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to share longer voice messages as status updates on both iPhone and Android versions of the app.

Previously, users could only share voice messages up to 30 seconds long. Now, they can record and share voice notes of up to one minute directly from the status update page. This new capability streamlines the process of sharing longer messages, removing the need to split them into multiple updates.

The rollout of this feature is gradual, so users should update their app to the latest version to gain access. However, it may take some time before the feature is available on all devices.

According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp update tracker, the platform is also working on several new features. One of the forthcoming features, “Create with AI,” will enable users to generate AI-powered profile pictures. This feature allows users to create personalized images using artificial intelligence technology that reflects their interests, personalities, and moods.
